| Abstract: | The change of the level of the kerosene-based magnetic colloid in the electric field of a plane capacitor has been investigated. When the electric field is switched on, a considerable short-term change in the level in the thin near-electrode layer has been observed experimentally. The thickness of the near-electrode layers and the characteristic time of their formation are determined, the possible mechanisms of this effect are discussed |
